Welcome to Power of the Stars

Children looking at the stars

Power of the Stars invites children to explore the everyday moments that shape how they understand themselves, others, and the world around them.

Every story begins with an ordinary moment a child might recognise—a disappointment, a friendship, a mistake, a worry, a question, a moment of courage or joy.

Through relatable stories, gentle guidance and simple tools, children are invited to notice what is happening within them and discover different ways to meet everyday life.

The strengths are already there. The stories help children discover how to draw on them.

After more than three decades of working alongside children, families, and educators, one question has stayed with me:

What helps a child grow into a calm, kind, confident, and resilient human being?

My work has taught me that growth is deeply personal. There is no single path and no perfect pace.

I have also seen how stories can reach children in a way that instruction sometimes cannot—inviting them to wonder, notice, reflect, and discover for themselves.

Power of the Stars grew from these beliefs.

I hope these stories gently find their way into your child's everyday life and help them discover more of themselves along the way.

Thank you for welcoming them into your home.

With love and care,

Dr. Shehnaz Tapal

A new story is shared every alternate day, giving children time to absorb rather than rush through the journey.

Each story ends with a Power Card—a simple idea or tool the child can carry into everyday life.

On the day between stories, a Story Reflection Card gently revisits what happened and invites the child to connect it with their own experiences.

Story → Pause → Reflect → Discover → Continue

Through different stories, children explore feelings, friendships, courage, kindness, disappointment, self-belief, empathy, choices, curiosity, gratitude, resilience and much more.

They encounter simple ways to notice what is happening inside them, pause when things feel difficult, consider another point of view, ask for help, and respond to everyday situations with greater awareness.

With gentle guidance, children are invited to recognise the strengths already within them—and discover how to draw on them through everyday life.

Children don't grow in separate boxes—and neither do these stories.

A story about disappointment may also touch courage.

A friendship story may reveal empathy or self-belief. A question about rubbish may open a child's eyes to connections in the wider world.

Each story has one central experience, but other discoveries are gently woven through it.

New stories will continue to join the universe as the children—and their world—grow.
